A Time to be Little…
Dear Prospective Parents and Carers
Cooma North Public School always warmly welcomes new enrolments at any time of the year. However, we are already concerned that several new prospective parents have come into the school, worried that they may miss out on their child being enrolled for the 2024 school year. No one will miss out on their child being enrolled in Kindergarten, although there are specific processes which must be adhered to in terms of out of area enrolments.
At Cooma North Public School, we believe that children should enjoy their final year in Preschool. They should be developing social skills and enjoying structured play activities, along with those skills which will prepare them for their journey of learning in the primary school setting. This should also be a time when you are not stressed or concerned about your child entering school.
At Cooma North we will be hosting Parent and Children Sessions next term. Please add these to your calendar.
Term 3
9 August: Parent Information Session from 9.00 – 10.00am
For anyone who would like to come and see what we have to offer.
During this session, we would like to invite your child/ren to join us for a play date with the 2023 Kindergarten students, to share some games and enjoy crunch and sip with the group.
13 September: Parent Information Session from 9.00 – 10.00am
For children and their parents who are enrolled to start Kindergarten at Cooma North Public School in 2024. During this session, we will provide you with information you need for a successful start to Kindergarten at CNPS.
20/21 September: Kindy Orientation Program 1 2.00 – 3.00pm
Term 4
18/19 October: Kindy Orientation Program 2 2.00 – 3.00pm
25/26 October: Kindy Orientation Program 3 2.00 – 3.00pm
8/9 November: Kindy Orientation Program 4 2.00 – 3.00pm
15/16 November: Kindy Orientation Program 5 2.00 - 3.00pm

If you have any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. However, until then do not be concerned and enjoy the last six months of your child’s learning journey at Preschool and/or Day Care as they continue to build great foundations for future learning.
