Language study allows students to develop communication skills, learn about languages as systems and explore the relationship between language and culture. Students engage with the linguistic and cultural diversity of societies and reflect on their understanding of social interactions.
Students investigate language as part of their History and Geography studies, looking at the significance of language in the development and evolution of cultural identity.Â
Through this learning we hope to spark learners’ curiosity for other cultures, open their minds and develop respect for the different ways of living within our community and beyond.
