Farewell Mrs Jamieson

Farewell Mrs Jamieson

THANK YOU & FAREWELL

To the staff, students, parents, carers and community, thank you. Thank you for the opportunity to lead this fabulous school over the past five years.

It has been an incredible journey and I have enjoyed getting to know, and work alongside, you all as we continually strive for our students, your children, and their future.

It saddens me to leave today, however I am also excited about the next adventure that awaits my family.

Over the past few weeks I have reflected upon the many fond memories and the great achievements we have made and it certainly has left me smiling.

Cooma North staff are passionate and dedicated to continually bring your children new and exciting programs and opportunities. They sacrifice their time through late nights and early mornings to ensure that the classrooms, and school, are engaging, inclusive and positive places to be.

I have loved the professional learning journey that has taken place over time to ensure we are the very best teachers for your children and it is evident in the academic growth your children have made.

I have loved seeing the many different  programs develop and enhance. The introduction of Japanese, the Environmentors and gardening club,  increased technology with equipment we never thought would exist, the leadership program, the school band and countless sporting opportunities all to help make this school so amazing.

It has been an absolute pleasure to observe your beautiful children and their hard work to become the best they can be as they have built upon their knowledge and skills, and learnt from their mistakes. It has also been wonderful to see their smiles, hear their laughter, and listen to the pure joy when they come to realise that they understand or do something new. I have loved the sharing of their stories with the excitement in their voices and even loved the tears we have consoled and the problems that we have worked through together with the courage and the compassion that they display. This is what we as teachers and staff within the school all work so hard for and I thank each and every person who has contributed to make this a wonderful learning environment.

Thank you to you as parents and carers for working with us as a school and for your support over the years. I especially thank the P&C committee for their hard work and the  countless volunteered hours they spend to assist in any way they can to grow our school in regards to resources, but more importantly giving feedback and information to help us.

It has been a pleasure to be part of the Cooma community and I feel very blessed to have Cooma North as my first principalship.

Thank you xx

Mrs Jamieson
